A-List or Something Like It

Too many folks are concerned with what is going on between that popular couple whose names we squish together to make one and signify their unity, or why some pop singer adopted a baby, or what is going to happen to the estate of some dead movie star, or what the hell those celebrities were thinking to get their ass thrown behind bars, etc. But, when the hype dies down about what’s going on or what anyone wore on the red carpet, conversations are held, courts are appealed to and protested against, and decisions are being made in Washington, Tehran, London, etc., about wage increases, immigration reforms, and the next Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, and Bin Laden. Different assemblies are convening and foreign nations are waging wars. However trivial these issues may seem because their effects are limited on everyday life, the truth remains that the political choices made have more to do with what coffee you drink, how much you pay for gas and whether or not you can watch some video cast on Youtube or buy the newest iPhone. Take a minute. Consider it wholeheartedly. The intention of authoring this blog is to spark an awareness about external actors, so that you might realize and understand there is more to life than gossip; because in the end, taxes and new approved bills affect your standard of living more than all the other things you keep compartmentalized to help pass the time.
